The Best Face Tools for the Minimalist

Written by Yasmine M

It's not only serums and creams that can help you get glowy skin, a good face tool can also do the trick. And it dosen't need to be that advanced to start with.  While you can reduce puffiness by with cold kitchen spoons on your face, why not try something new? We want this to be easy yet effective, and have tried the tools we believe most people actually can use at home by themselvs. To give your skin that extra boost for the summer, to lymphatic drainage and to reduce puffiness. We have gathered cupping, gua shas and even some LED-lights just for you - that also fits perfectly in your travel bag for the summer adventures.

Sculpting Face Gua Sha, Woods Copenhagen
I have tried a lot of Gua Sha’s but I always come back to this one. a sculpting crystal with ancient healing technique.  Made of naturally cooling Citrine crystal, it’s linked to light and happiness known to help the mind and body feel recharged and energized. This specific Gua Sha has multiple-edges that provide the skin with a soothing and powerful deep-tissue face massage. With the different edges you use the edge you think works best. Find it here

LUNA™ 4, Foreo
Of course, we couldn’t make a face tool article without Swedish Foreo. The brand has been leading the way for face tools for years. One of them to look out for this spring is the new LUNA™ 4.  The new face tool removes 99% of dirt, oil, and makeup residue while promoting circulation, and lymphatic drainage. It’s thanks to their very own T-Sonic™ pulsations. It’s not just a colorful detail in the bathroom but very pleasant to use. You can also personalize your routine with everything from skin firming massage to your very own skincare needs. Foreo also has a lot of other face tools to check out, for example even some microcurrency devices for the more advanced skincare enthusiast. Find it here

Oils of Life™ Revitalising Facial Roller, The Body Shop
This is the facial tool everyone can buy easily at The Body Shop in a good price range. It’s not too bulky or too advanced. It’s a great first roller if you haven’t used a face tool before and want a comfortable massage. Why I like it the most is that it gives definition to your jawline after just 2-3 tries – you can see the lymphatic drainage as you use it. Yey! Find it here.

Cloud & Glow, Cupping Set
Apply face oil and ‘cup-away’ with this Cupping Set from Cloud & Glow. Their newest addition to their face tools line helps lymphatic drainage. But be careful, make sure you start with a light pressure to not make any bruise marks. The suction created by the cups promotes new oxygen-rich blood circulation, stimulates collagen and helps with lymphatic drainage to reduce puffiness. As they are in glass, you get a more advance pressure. The larger cup is used on your cheeks, forehead, as well as your neck and chest. The smaller cup is used on more delicate areas of the face, like the nose, T-zone and lips. Find it here.

NuFACE Trinity®  It's a bit too advanced for this article, but if you have used the toold above and want something heavier. The NuFace is for you, theMicrocurrent Facial Toning Device is said to tone, lift, and contour the facial muscles while also reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles with microcurrent. To help those with lines, and feels that they want a small face lift. Find it here.

Something important when using different face tools are the product you use with it. For example the Gua Sha, Face Roller or while cupping your face – a good oil is essential. To help out, of course we brought our favorite trio.

First, Juno from Sunday Riley – I still dream about this oil. It gives an instant hydration and glow to your face without leaving your skin oily. It’s perfect to use with Gua Sha.

Next up, the new Ole Henriksen HydraBarrier Nourishing Face Oil it’s a kind and gentle barrier-boosting face oil, with skin-supporting peptides and pure Scandinavian berry oils, that locks in hydration all day, improves uneven texture and strengthens skin.

Marja Entrich just released a few new products, one of them is the Almond Oil, a plant-based face oil to improve complexion and skin tone. Rich in vitamins and fatty acids with softening and repairing functions. Not to mention, it also smells absolutely amazing.
