Caroll Taveras is a Brooklyn based artist, photographer and curator. She received her BA from SUNY Purchase Collage where she came into photography while studying theatre.

Her work has been exhibited in various national and international institutions, including Villas Noailles at Hyères, France, HotShoe Gallery in London, Dumbo Arts Center in Brooklyn, Go Gallery in Amsterdam and HOST Gallery, London. Taveras work has been published in Foto8, The New York Times T Magazine, The Guardian Magazine, Wallpaper and COLORS. In Addition to her Photography work, Caroll has been making collages during the past 15 years and gathered an extensive body of work which she self published in a book entitled “Surrender”.

In 2010 She co-founded F.L.O.A.T Gallery. A Photography gallery presenting works by emerging and mid career artist. It’s an experiential art and idea space actively working to push boundaries and support the creative process engaging the community as a whole.
