Lydmar Hotel is gearing up for a new chapter in 2025, aiming to reclaim its status as Stockholm’s premier hub for food, music, and culture. Since its early days on Sturegatan, Lydmar has been a creative hotspot, hosting legendary live performances from The Roots, Roy Ayers, and Lisa Ekdahl. Now situated on Södra Blasieholmen, the hotel continues to champion the arts, having showcased over 60 photography exhibitions and performances by acts like Regina Spektor, Fricky, and Little Simz since reopening in 2008.
With Samuel Laulajainen, former head of Södra Teatern, stepping in as CEO in April 2024, Lydmar is embracing a fresh vision. His goal: to infuse the hotel with the same energy that once made it a cultural landmark, solidifying its role as Stockholm’s go-to destination for art, music, and creative experiences.
A key part of this transformation is the relaunch of Lydmar’s restaurant, unveiling a bold new design and menu inspired by the vibrant food scene of New York City. Moving away from its Mediterranean roots, the kitchen now offers a taste of Manhattan with dishes like Reuben Sandwich, Mac ‘n’ Cheese, Lobster Rockefeller, and Chinese Chicken Salad.
With a renewed cultural focus and an exciting culinary reinvention, Lydmar Hotel is set to make a powerful comeback in 2025.
