Recently, a number of upgrades were made to the model, providing up to a 22 percent longer range (655km WLTP), up to nine percent improved energy efficiency, and up to 34 percent faster charging, thanks to hardware enhancements including larger batteries and new motors.

Design permeates everything that Polestar does. The company designs towards zero emissions and sees design as a driving force for positive change. The carbon footprint associated with the production of the Polestar 2 has been continuously reduced since the model's deliveries began. The result so far is a total CO2e reduction of twelve percent or three tons over three years – which is a step in the right direction.
