A bouquet of light
For this new spring-summer 2022 edition of Rouge Hermès, three shades inspired by an artist’s garden celebrate the harmony between the sky, the sun, and the shimmering water of an early spring morning. From white water lilies to foliage arches, lotus flowers to hydrangeas, three colour vibrations depict a fresh and exuberant magical vibrancy, a graphic fantasy modelled by light.
The object
The colours of the tubes, designed by Pierre Hardy, creator of Hermès Beauty objects and creative director of Hermès shoes and jewellery, make them new objects of desire. On their surface, a palette that is both vibrant and impressionistic combines the neon radiance of orange, bright green, and red with the more subtle shades of an azure sky, a mirror of water, and a passing mist. The luminous bands seem to be reflected in the softer colours, heightening the sense of rediscovered joy and playfulness. The ex-libris in gilded metal crowns this duo with light and complements the magnetic closure.
Material and colour
Three new limited-edition shades coincide with a new, imperceptibly lightweight finish for a glossy, transparent result that brings care, comfort, and radiance to the lips.
The sensory experience is elevated with a signature scent by Christine Nagel, director of creation and olfactory heritage at Hermès, offering a blend of arnica, sandalwood, and candied angelica.
Rose Nymphéa: like a pink sky reflected on the surface of the water, soft yet deep. Orange Capucine: a bright, sunny touch, the resplendent impression of joy.
Beige d’Eau: a pinky shimmer, a whisper of flesh, the sweetness of a delicately pressed almond blossom.
The gesture
Applied to bare lips, the three shades leave a glossy finish for a fresh smile that radiates light.
The Rouge Hermès spring-summer 2022 Limited Edition collection consists of three refillable objects available from 1 February 2022 in selected Hermès retail outlets around the world.
