MUJI invites you to a Sunday of festivities on the 4th of September

Matsuri Festival can be translated as a summer festival, but it’s much more than that – it refers to all different types of festivals that are arranged in the majority of regions in Japan during the summer. Festivals which are some of Japan’s most famous and well-attended festivals each year.

MUJI wants the Stockholmers to have the opportunity to experience the happiness of a traditional Japanese summer, and will create an authentic Japanese Matusri in its store in Åhlens City. In the store, you will have the opportunity to try the classic dishes, pastries and Japanese experiences such as Origami Workshop, create your own mask ‘’omen’’, Yukata photo shoot and Katanuki.

To name a few, Yuka Yamamoto Bruselid, specialized in Japanese tea ceremonies, Yuko Åkerlind Moriyama, Wagashi Master (will present Japanese confectionery) and Daisuke Hiraiwa, artist and founder and chef at Artisan Japanese Food Service, will be on-site and offer food and drink.

Last but not least, visiting MUJI in September, could be a great way to start your fall, the store has everything you need for storage, your home office or why not find some new lounge wear - everything to help you in your day to day life.

The Matsuri Festival takes place on September 4 between 12.00 and 17.00 in the MUJI store at Åhléns City
