The other day we went for a walk to the old town Jaffa, a few kilometers south of Tel Aviv centre. Ok I lied. We started walking but it was nearly 35 degrees so we ended up taking a taxi. However we walked the entire way back later in the evening when the temperature dropped a bit.
Jaffa is an ancient city with a famous port, old houses and a vibrant market. The view from the Jaffa port was stunning with Tel Aviv in the horizon! We had a delicious “shakshuka”, a classic middle east dish of eggs poached in a rich sauce of tomatoes and onions with herbs, chili and cumin served in the pan.
